Job summary

Todd Hayes Ltd, based in Shipdham, is seeking a proactive Maintenance Engineer to keep the animal feeds production plant running at peak efficiency. The role is hands-on with a roughly 60/40 split between fabrication and mechanical engineering.

You will perform planned preventative and reactive maintenance, replace bearings, and weld using Mig and stick processes while upholding Health & Safety, Quality and Feed Safety standards; weekend rota may apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in fabrication of metal work.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing and repairs.
• Experience with safety standards and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Undertake planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance to ensure plant efficiency.
• Lead by example to maintain safe working environment with Health & Safety, Quality and Feed Safety standards.
• Replace bearings on machinery and plant as required.
• Observe and report problems across plant and service; collaborate with other departments.
• Welding experience using Mig and stick welding.
• Operate with own initiative and provide hands-on support as needed.
