Pavilion Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing London Market MGA to appoint a hands-on Financial Controller. This newly created role covers the day-to-day finance function and supports growth across the business.

The successful candidate will bring deep insurance finance experience, with an end-to-end understanding of the MGA lifecycle from premium bordereaux to regulatory reporting and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Qualified professional ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Experience within an MGA, Lloyd's Coverholder, broker or similar insurance environment.
• Experience in bordereaux and delegated authority accounting.
• Comfortable managing claims payments and carrier settlements.
• Experienced in preparing management accounts and FCA regulatory returns.
• Familiar with end-to-end insurance finance processes, not just general accounting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
• Own the bordereaux accounting process, including premium and claims bordereaux, reconciliations and carrier/capacity provider settlements.
• Oversee and process claims payments.
• Manage premium accounting, commissions, fees and related settlements.
• Prepare FCA regulatory returns and support regulatory capital requirements.
• Oversee CASS 5 client money processes and reconciliations.
• Maintain strong financial controls, balance sheet reconciliations and month-end processes.
• Support statutory reporting, year-end audit, budgeting and forecasting.
• Identify opportunities to improve and streamline finance processes as the business grows.
