Job summary

Comton Group in West Bromwich is seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Team Leader to supervise a around six operatives, while staying hands-on with production processes. You will lead machine start-up, set-up and adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency, with a focus on minimising downtime and hitting targets.

The role requires strong expertise in plastic injection moulding, tooling and materials, plus experience with Arburg machines.

Qualifications

Proven experience in plastic injection moulding - setting and processing.
Strong understanding of moulding machines, materials and tooling.
Arburg machine experience highly desirable.
Previous Team Leader or supervisory experience preferred.
Ability to troubleshoot machine and processing issues.
Good understanding of quality checks and inspection processes.
Experience using production software/systems.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Health & Safety and 5S awareness.

Responsibilities

Lead, supervise and support a team of around 6 production operatives.
Set up, start up and optimise plastic injection moulding machines and ancillary equipment.
Monitor and adjust machine settings to maintain consistent product quality.
Carry out tool, colour and other machine changes safely and efficiently.
Troubleshoot machine and processing issues to minimise downtime.
Monitor production performance and ensure targets and delivery requirements are achieved.
Oversee first-off inspections and ongoing quality checks.
Promote and enforce company Health & Safety procedures and 5S standards.
