Job summary

ASC Connections, a UK manufacturer of plastic injection-moulded components, is seeking an experienced Technical Manager to shape engineering strategy, lead a technical team, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

You will oversee daily technical operations, manage ISO 9001 QMS, lead APQP/PPAP, and act as the key technical and quality contact for customers, delivering robust solutions and ensuring high quality output.

Qualifications

Proven technical leadership within plastic injection moulding.
Strong understanding of tooling, materials, and moulding processes.
Experience leading cross-functional technical projects with customers.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop a technical team with a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Oversee day-to-day moulding operations to ensure stable processes, machine performance and quality.
Manage the ISO 9001-compliant QMS and lead APQP/PPAP activities with automotive-standard documentation.
Drive new product introductions from tooling trials to production approval, ensuring manufacturability and customer satisfaction.
Serve as technical and quality lead for customers, driving 8D/Ishikawa problem solving and timely resolutions.
Lead Lean/Six Sigma/Kaizen initiatives to reduce cycle times, scrap, and improve cost, quality and delivery.
