Pigment is seeking an Engineering Manager who remains hands-on, writing frontend code and leading a team. You’ll spend ~80% of your time designing, coding and shipping production features, and ~20% coaching engineers, running 1:1s, and supporting their development.

You’ll be an engineer first, focused on building sophisticated frontend experiences, collaborating with product and design, and helping others grow while maintaining high engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Substantial software engineering experience at a senior level.
• Hands-on with production code and frontend focus.
• Strong frontend with React, TypeScript, JavaScript.
• Experience with scalable SaaS or data-intensive apps.
• Experience coaching/mentoring engineers.
• Willingness to take 1:1s and people management responsibilities.
• Fluent in English.

Responsabilités

• Write, review, refactor and ship production code using React, TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Design advanced frontends for large datasets with filtering and visualization.
• Own tasks from design to deployment.
• Address frontend performance and UX.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and architecture decisions.
• Collaborate with PMs, Designers, Tech Leads and Software Engineers to deliver high-quality features.
• Contribute to AI-powered product experiences and use modern development tools where appropriate.
• Maintain the same technical expectations and engineering standards as our Senior Software Engineers.
