Job summary

Gill Cooke Personnel Ltd T/A The Recruitment Group is recruiting for an established manufacturing business seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to own the finance function and partner with the Managing Director.

You’ll prepare monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts, manage cash flow, stock and payroll, oversee VAT/HMRC submissions and audits, and drive process improvements while developing the Finance Officer and influencing business strategy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in finance management.
• Commercially minded with strong organisational skills and confidence.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders and leading finance teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
• Manage budgets, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Own cash flow, credit control and expenditure.
• Oversee stock levels and valuation.
• Manage payroll, VAT and HMRC submissions.
• Oversee external audit requirements.
• Improve finance systems, processes and KPIs; line-manage the Finance Officer.
