Job summary

SI Recruitment Limited is partnering with a Stockton-based business to recruit a Finance Manager. You will take ownership of day-to-day finance, support the wider team, and collaborate with commercial and operations colleagues across the business.

The role is hands-on, with responsibilities spanning cash flow management, management accounts, VAT/CIS, and supplier/subcontractor payments. Prior CIS exposure and a proactive, organised approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar finance role with hands-on ownership of end-to-end processes.
• Experience within CIS and subcontractor payments is advantageous.
• Organised, commercially aware and effective at communicating with colleagues across the business.
• AAT or higher qualification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the finance team in day-to-day finance operations.
• Forecast cash flow and monitor liquidity to support commercial decisions.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and assist with month-end processes.
• Complete monthly VAT and CIS returns.
• Manage bank reconciliations and supplier payment runs.
• Oversee subcontractor payments, including CIS verification.
• Maintain supplier and subcontractor accounts and payment terms.
• Coordinate intercompany recharges and monthly WIP/recharge processes.
• Provide financial reporting and analysis to key stakeholders.
