Loughborough College Group, based at Stephenson College, invites applications for a Construction Workshop Supervisor to lead a hands-on workshop team and support delivery of high-quality teaching and learning.

You will ensure Health and Safety across the workshop, complete annual risk assessments (COSHH), manage safe storage, keep the workshop clean and ensure materials are available for practical lessons and apprentice assessments.

Competenze

• Possess a Level 2 or equivalent in a relevant construction subject area (e.g. carpentry, bricklaying, multi-trade, plumbing, electrical, Painting and Decorating)
• Have recent experience in the relevant industry
• Have knowledge of the sector
• Have excellent time management skills and be able to work to deadlines

Mansioni

• Ensure the Health and Safety of students in the use of equipment, tools and resources required to develop their skills and knowledge.
• Review, monitor and complete annual risk assessments associated with the workshop environment, including COSHH.
• Organise safe systems for storage of material and equipment and maintain the cleanliness of the workshop.
• Ensure suitable and sufficient materials are available for practical lessons delivered in the workshop and support the department when apprentices are undertaking their end point assessments.
