Loughborough College Group is seeking a Curriculum Head in Construction & Trades Apprenticeships to lead and develop employer-focused apprenticeship programmes at Stephenson College in Loughborough. You will drive curriculum quality, support progression and ensure deliverables align with industry needs.

The role requires substantial sector experience, strong leadership, and a commitment to high-quality learner outcomes across the group’s apprenticeship provision.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience within the construction or trades sector, and/or experience of curriculum leadership, programme management or the quality management of vocational or apprenticeship provision.
• Strong understanding of apprenticeship delivery, including apprenticeship standards, employer engagement, apprentice progress, quality assurance and End-Point Assessment.
• Up-to-date knowledge of construction industry practices, occupational standards, health and safety requirements and emerging technologies.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop teams, manage performance and implement effective improvement strategies.
• Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build productive relationships with employers and industry partners.
• A commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion, safeguarding and providing a supportive, high-quality learning experience for all apprentices.

Responsabilités

• Providing effective leadership and direction for the Construction & Trades Apprenticeships curriculum area, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, assessment and workplace training.
• Driving apprentice recruitment, retention, achievement, progression and timely completion, including effective preparation for End-Point Assessment.
• Developing and strengthening relationships with construction employers and industry partners to ensure apprenticeship provision meets workforce needs and reflects current industry practices and technologies.
• Monitoring apprentice progress and departmental performance, using data and quality assurance processes to identify priorities, address underperformance and drive continuous improvement.
• Leading curriculum development, self-assessment and quality improvement planning to ensure provision meets relevant quality, regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Managing and developing curriculum colleagues, supporting professional development, occupational competence and a culture of high performance.
• Managing staffing, budgets, facilities and resources effectively, ensuring value for money and the safe delivery of practical construction training.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant apprenticeship funding rules, awarding organisation requirements, health and safety legislation, safeguarding arrangements and Group policies
