Job summary
Ganymede Solutions seeks an experienced Commissioning Engineer to support an automated manufacturing project in Dagenham. You will work on Schneider Electric PLC systems, making software modifications and supporting implementation and testing on an operational production line.
This hands-on role requires PLC programming knowledge, strong on-site commissioning skills and the ability to troubleshoot live automation systems. Weekend and on-site availability are required.
Qualifications
- Strong experience with Schneider Electric PLCs.
- Proven experience with PL7.
- Experience with Unity Pro / EcoStruxure Control Expert.
- Ability to make basic PLC software modifications and developments.
- Strong commissioning and fault-finding experience.
- Comfortable working directly on automated production lines.
- Experience within automotive or advanced manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Developing and modifying PLC software.
- Carrying out commissioning activities on automated production equipment.
- Walking the production line to identify and resolve faults.
- Testing and validating software changes.
- Preparing software updates for planned weekend maintenance windows.
- Supporting commissioning and production activities as required.
- Working closely with site and engineering teams to ensure equipment is operating correctly.
