Job summary

Ganymede Solutions Limited is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to support an automated manufacturing project in Dagenham. This hands-on role combines PLC programming knowledge with on-site commissioning skills on Schneider Electric PLC systems, including PL7 and Unity Pro/Control Expert, with changes implemented on an active production line.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Schneider Electric PLCs.
• Proven experience with PL7.

• Strong commissioning and fault-finding experience.
• Comfortable working directly on automated production lines.
• Experience within automotive or advanced manufacturing environments is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Commissioning Engineer - Schneider PLC | Dagenham | Contract

Location: Dagenham, Essex
Contract Type: Contractor
Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 07:30-16:00

Rate: £40 - £50 (Outside IR35)
Weekend Support: Approximately two weekends per month

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer to support an automated manufacturing project in Dagenham.

This is a hands-on role combining basic PLC software development, commissioning, fault finding and production-line support. The successful contractor will work with Schneider Electric PLC systems, making software modifications and supporting the implementation and testing of changes on an operational production line.

Key Skills Required

• Strong experience with Schneider Electric PLCs
• Proven experience with PL7

About You

We are looking for a practical, hands-on Commissioning Engineer who can combine PLC programming knowledge with strong on-site commissioning skills.

You should be confident working with both legacy and modern Schneider PLC platforms, including PL7 and Unity Pro/Control Expert, and be comfortable troubleshooting automation systems in a live manufacturing environment.
