Ganymede Solutions seeks an experienced Commissioning Engineer to support an automated manufacturing project in Dagenham. You will work on Schneider Electric PLC systems, making software modifications and supporting implementation and testing on an operational production line.
This hands-on role requires PLC programming knowledge, strong on-site commissioning skills and the ability to troubleshoot live automation systems. Weekend and on-site availability are required.

Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 07:30–16:00
Rate: £40 - £50 (Outside IR35)
Weekend Support: Approximately two weekends per month
We are looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer to support an automated manufacturing project in Dagenham.
This is a hands-on role combining basic PLC software development, commissioning, fault finding and production-line support. The successful contractor will work with Schneider Electric PLC systems, making software modifications and supporting the implementation and testing of changes on an operational production line.

The project requires on-site support for approximately two weekends per month, ideally on consecutive weekends.
Weekend work will primarily involve implementing, testing and commissioning software changes during planned maintenance and production shutdown periods.
We are looking for a practical, hands-on Commissioning Engineer who can combine PLC programming knowledge with strong on-site commissioning skills.
You should be confident working with both legacy and modern Schneider PLC platforms, including PL7 and Unity Pro/Control Expert, and be comfortable troubleshooting automation systems in a live manufacturing environment.
