Job summary

HR GO Recruitment in Cambridge seeks a hands-on CNC Milling Section Supervisor to lead a machining cell, supporting the shop manager, senior programmers, and apprentices while stepping onto machines when needed. You'll build knowledge of CNC section machines, manage shifts, coach trainees, oversee quality initiatives, and ensure delivery targets are met through proactive planning and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Hands-on CNC milling experience required.
• Experience supervising or leading a team desired.
• Strong understanding of quality/inspection in a precision environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the CNC milling section to meet production hours and priorities.
• Provide day-to-day leadership and shift performance oversight.
• Deliver in-house training for part setting and machining.
• Develop apprentices/trainees with schedules and coaching.
• Support HAAS mills and other equipment; assist with capability growth.
• Collaborate with programmers and CNC Manager on in-house vs subcontract parts.
• Plan staffing/holiday coverage across shifts to maintain production.
• Run machines to cover holidays/absences when needed.
• Contribute to inspection/quality initiatives with CNC leadership.
• Create/setup sheets and tooling lists as required.
• Attend meetings as required.
