Job summary

Crosby Composites Limited is offering a Manufacturing Apprenticeship based in Brackley. You'll gain hands-on experience in Melt-Out and CNC departments, learning to manufacture components, patterns, moulds and tooling while following strict safety and quality standards.

The programme combines on-the-job training with college involvement, building practical skills and an understanding of engineering drawings and production processes.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of tools.

Responsibilities

• Final preparation of patterns, moulds and castings.
• Carrying out Melt-Out processes in defined procedures.
• Using hand tools and abrasive paper to a high standard.
• Preparing components and tooling for subsequent processes.
• Inspecting work to ensure quality standards are met.
• Operate CNC machinery safely after training.
• Prepare materials and tooling for CNC machining.
• Read engineering drawings, dimensions and tolerances.
• Carrying out basic inspection and dimensional checks on machined components.
• Understanding CNC programmes and how they relate to the manufacturing process.
• Support CNC team with preparation and manufacture of patterns, moulds, tooling and components.
• Maintaining equipment and reporting faults or issues promptly.
• Following health, safety and quality procedures.
• Help achieve daily production targets.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship.
• Identify processes that improve quality and efficiency.
• Work as part of a high-performing manufacturing team.
• Adhere to company policies and safety requirements.
