Job summary

Sharp Consultancy in Barnsley is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function within a small team. You will manage transactional bookkeeping, process invoices, perform bank reconciliations and support month-end activities.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is organised, detail-oriented and comfortable handling a broad range of bookkeeping duties, including accruals and prepayments, to provide accurate financial information to management.

Qualifications

• Experienced in a bookkeeping or accounts role.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Comfortable managing a broad range of transactional duties.
• Confident with bank reconciliations, invoicing and general bookkeeping.
• Experienced with month-end procedures.
• Knowledgeable in accruals and prepayments.
• Accurate and methodical in your approach.
• Comfortable working within a small-business environment.
• Someone who enjoys taking ownership and making a genuine contribution to the wider business.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day bookkeeping and financial transactions.
