Job summary

Avara Foods Limited is seeking a Halal Slaughter Operative for our Brackley site. You will cull birds in accordance with Halal standards and then join the intake rotation for the rest of the shift in a noisy, refrigerated FMCG factory.

No prior qualifications are required as full training is provided to obtain the WATOK licence; basic food hygiene and manual handling training are desirable. Overtime and weekly pay are available.

Qualifications

• No formal qualifications required; full training provided to obtain WATOK licence.
• Basic Food Hygiene certificate and manual handling training desirable.
• Previous experience in a similar role or food manufacturing is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Involves handling and slaughtering live poultry in line with Halal standards.
• Operate in a fast-paced FMCG factory environment with emphasis on hygiene.
• Follow instructions from Section Manager and manage CCP checks where required.
• Adhere to allergen controls, PPE, health and safety procedures, and food hygiene rules.
• Work on a 40-hour week with potential overtime and team rotation.
