Job summary

Bridgend College is seeking an experienced Hairdressing lecturer for a flexible, hourly paid contract. You will plan and deliver engaging sessions covering cutting, styling and scalp massage, on a casual basis to meet departmental needs.

The role requires an NVQ Level 3 in Hairdressing and a teaching qualification (or willingness to obtain one). You will support diverse learners with strong interpersonal and digital skills to help them succeed in the salon industry.

Qualifications

• Must hold an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Hairdressing and a teaching qualification (or be prepared to obtain this).
• Excellent interpersonal and digital literacy skills, with the ability to relate to a wide and diverse student population.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality learning across a range of hairdressing skills, including cutting, styling and scalp massage.
• Work on a casual, ad‑hoc basis to cover departmental needs.
• Motivate learners of all ages and backgrounds and help them build practical confidence for the salon industry.
