Chelmsford College is seeking a Hairdressing Lecturer (0.6) to deliver engaging practical and theory-based sessions across our Hairdressing programmes. The role involves assessing students, providing feedback, and supporting learners throughout their studies.

The successful candidate will have relevant Hairdressing experience, hold a relevant qualification, and be committed to safeguarding and inclusive teaching practices. Salary reflects part-time, 22.2 hours weekly, with permanent status.

Qualificações

• Relevant industry experience and expertise within Hairdressing.
• Holds an appropriate Hairdressing qualification.
• Has, or is willing to work towards, an appropriate teaching qualification.
• Has a genuine passion for developing and inspiring students.
• Can demonstrate strong practical and technical Hairdressing skills.
• Able to deliver engaging and inclusive learning experiences to students with a range of abilities.
• Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and deliver high-quality Hairdressing teaching and learning sessions.
• Deliver practical and theoretical aspects of Hairdressing programmes.
• Assess and provide constructive feedback on students' work in line with awarding body requirements.
• Support students to develop their technical, professional and employability skills.
• Monitor student progress, attendance and achievement, taking appropriate action where required.
• Maintain accurate records relating to assessment, progress and student performance.
• Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement.
• Ensure that teaching and practical activities are delivered in a safe and professional environment.
• Maintain strong links with current industry practice and promote professional standards within the learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide an outstanding student experience.
