Job summary

South Staffordshire College is seeking a dedicated hairdressing lecturer to join our team to deliver and assess topics from level 1 to level 3 for learners aged 16-18 and 19+ across hairdressing disciplines.

The role requires extensive experience in the hair sector, ideally a degree or equivalent, and a Level 5 teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one). Safeguarding and safer recruitment practices are integral to the post.

Job description

The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check, including barred list information, as this post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

South Staffordshire College have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic lecturer to join our Hairdressing team.

The successful candidate will be required to deliver and assess a range of topics from level one to level 3 to learners aged 16-18 and 19+ across the Hairdressing disciplines.

You will have extensive experience of working within the Hair sector and be ideally qualified to at least a degree or equivalent. Experience working within the sector will be essential in cases where a degree level of qualification is not held.

The successful applicant ideally will have experience in either teaching, training and or assessment and hold a level 5 teaching qualification or be prepared to work towards one.
