Lakes College West Cumbria is seeking a motivated and organised Hair & Beauty Technician to join our team. You will play a key role in supporting high-quality teaching by preparing resources, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the smooth running of practical sessions.
This hands-on role suits someone with industry experience or a passion for Hair & Beauty, who enjoys working in a dynamic educational environment and can work flexibly as part of the technician team to support curriculum delivery.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 in Hair or Beauty is essential.
- 5 GCSEs including Maths and English or equivalent.
- Recent and relevant industry experience.
- Experience in a similar technician or support role.
- Knowledge of stock control systems.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up learning environments in line with lesson plans.
- Support tutors by preparing teaching aids, materials, and equipment.
- Maintain stock levels, place orders, and ensure value for money.
- Manage and maintain equipment records, testing schedules, and servicing logs.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
- Work flexibly as part of the technician team to support curriculum delivery.
