Job summary

West Herts College in Luton is seeking a Part Time Learning Assistant for Hair & Beauty to support practical salons, classrooms and the curriculum team. The role requires a Level 2 in Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy, with Level 3 preferred, and experience with salon booking systems and reception duties.

27 hours per week, term time (35 weeks), on-site at Luton LU2 7BF, with a focus on professional customer service and equipment stock control.

Qualifications

• Background in Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy with Level 2 in both.
• Level 3 in Hairdressing/Beauty Therapy is advantageous.
• Experience with salon booking systems and reception work.
• Good communication and professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Provide technician support for practical salons and reception.
• Assist staff and students in classrooms and maintain stock/equipment.
• Support curriculum team and booking equipment for lessons.
• Promote professionalism and excellent customer service at all times.
• Manage stock and demonstrate safe use of equipment to learners.
