Job summary

North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a capable Biomedical Scientist to respond to changing demands in the service, planning, communicating, innovation, standard setting and achieving results.

The post holder will deputise for the Service Manager or Lead Biomedical Scientist in pathology, implementing new methods and equipment, organising test repertoires, duties and rotas to maintain high UKAS standards and effective service delivery across sites.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement new methods and equipment requiring complex decision making.
• Organise test repertoires, protocols, duties and rotas for staff.
• Maintain service standards including UKAS, EU Directives, UK legislation and NHS policies.
• Process pathology specimens and provide technically accurate results.
