Phoenix Health & Safety, part of Wilmington plc, seeks an H&S Technical Content Developer to shape the future of our learning products. You will translate legislation into engaging content across courses and qualifications, collaborating with product specialists, trainers and digital teams.

You will research, write and review resources, ensuring accuracy, alignment with standards, and clear, plain-English language for diverse learners. Hybrid UK role.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent required.
• Experience creating structured learning content and assessments.

As a Technical Content Developer, you'll play a key role in developing and maintaining the content that underpins Phoenix's courses and qualifications. Working closely with product specialists, trainers and digital teams, you'll research, write and review engaging learning resources across a range of formats, turning complex legislation and industry guidance into clear, practical learning experiences.

You’ll be Responsible for:

• Supporting course updates and accreditation changes, including syllabus revisions from awarding bodies such as NEBOSH.
• Researching, writing and reviewing learning content across a range of formats, translating complex Health & Safety information into engaging learning experiences.
• Acting as a subject matter expert, ensuring technical accuracy and consistency across our products.
• Collaborating with trainers, designers and operational teams to develop and enhance learning materials.
• Quality assuring content, ensuring it meets instructional design, brand and plain-English standards.
• Maintaining compliance and accuracy by keeping content aligned with current legislation, guidance and syllabus requirements.
• Keeping your industry knowledge up to date through ongoing professional development.

What s the Most Challenging Thing About This Role

Regulations, guidance and qualification requirements continue to evolve, so you'll need to stay informed and ensure our learning content remains accurate, relevant and compliant. You'll also balance multiple projects and deadlines, often working across different products and priorities at the same time.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• A NEBOSH National General Certificate or other NEBOSH Certificate-level qualification.
• Experience creating learning content, including structuring content, defining learning outcomes and developing assessment activities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and other digital content authoring tools.
• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly for a diverse audience.
• Strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage deadlines effectively.

To be successful in this role, it would be great if you have:

• Additional Health & Safety or environmental qualifications, including higher-level diplomas.
• Experience in teaching, tutoring, or instructional coaching.
• An understanding of digital accessibility principles, such as WCAG standards and inclusive learning design.
• Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and associated standards such as SCORM or xAPI.
• Working knowledge of basic web technologies (HTML/CSS) or AI-assisted content tools such as Copilot.
