Job summary

Phoenix Health & Safety, part of Wilmington plc, is seeking a Health & Safety Study and Technical Support Advisor based in the UK. Working in a specialist team, you will deliver remote consultancy, manage inquiries, and provide coaching to help learners achieve professional qualifications in a flexible hybrid environment.

Qualifications

  • NEBOSH National Diploma is essential.
  • IOSH TechIOSH or higher is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and stay focused.
  • Excellent IT literacy and quick learning of new systems.
  • Strong prioritisation and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Mark assessments and provide outstanding technical support to Phoenix students via calls, emails and social media.
  • Contribute to development and continuous improvement of classroom and virtual health and safety training content and resources.
  • Manage email, phone and webchat queries; monitor the Facebook page to ensure access control and manage queries/complaints.
  • Deliver one-to-one coaching and support sessions for learners needing extra help.
  • Monitor developments in health and safety legislation and best practice to keep materials current.
  • Plan your diary and workload to meet service level agreements.

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 DoE

Job Purpose, Tasks And Responsibilities

You'll be marking assessments and providing outstanding technical support to our students and clients via calls, emails, and social media platforms.

You'll also contribute directly to the development and continuous improvement of our classroom and virtual health and safety training content and resources, ensuring they remain accurate, engaging, and aligned with current legislation and best practice.

You'll be responsible for:
  • Provide expert study support and technical guidance to Phoenix students, helping them achieve their qualification goals.
  • Providing remote consultancy to our expanding client base.
  • Engaging across Phoenix’s social media platforms, responding to queries, posting health and safety news, and supporting student learning.
  • Ensuring all delegates receive respectful and professional support.
  • Marking mock exam papers with accuracy and offering constructive feedback.
  • Contribute directly to the development and continuous improvement of our classroom and virtual health and safety training content and resources.
  • Managing email, phone, and webchat queries, and monitoring the Facebook page to ensure only members are granted access and queries/complaints are effectively managed.
  • Deliver one-to-one coaching and support sessions for learners requiring additional guidance.
  • Monitor developments in health and safety legislation and best practice, ensuring advice and learning materials remain current.
  • Efficiently planning your own diary and workload to meet service level agreements.

Essential And Desirable Capabilities
To be successful in this role, you must have:
  • NEBOSH National Diploma.
  • Membership of IOSH – TechIOSH or higher.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • The ability to work independently and stay focused.
  • Excellent IT literacy and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems.
  • Strong prioritisation and organisational skills to manage your workload effectively.
To be successful in this role, it would be great if you have:
  • Experience in a health and safety advisory role.
  • Practical experience implementing health and safety management systems.
  • Previous experience providing training, coaching or learner support would be advantageous.
