Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Manchester is seeking an experienced Gynaecology Macmillan Clinical Nurse Specialist. The successful candidate will provide holistic nursing care for women undergoing cancer treatment, mentor junior colleagues, and engage in a multidisciplinary approach to patient management. This rewarding role requires a strong background in Gynaecology and teamwork, with opportunities for professional growth and development in an inclusive working environment. Compensation ranges from £47,810 to £54,710 annually, pro rata.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in specialist nursing care for cancer patients.
  • Ability to act as a clinical expert and mentor junior staff.
  • Proven ability to conduct holistic needs assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient-centred nursing care to women with high malignancy risk.
  • Mentor junior nurses and support effective patient management.
  • Lead on education and training for patients, carers, and healthcare professionals.

Skills

Evidence of experience and completion of all band 6 competencies
Multidisciplinary team working
Specialist clinical skills in Gynae and Oncology
Experience of nurse-led care
Team leadership role experience

Education

Registered nurse on the NMC register
Post-graduate courses in Gynae, Oncology or palliative care
MSc or working towards relevant nursing
Approved course in supporting learners in practice
