Job summary

The Gynaecology team at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust is inviting applications for a part-time Healthcare Assistant within the Gynaecology Assessment Unit/Early Pregnancy Unit and Gynaecology Outpatients.

You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, prepare patients and equipment for procedures, support clinicians and help maintain a safe clinical environment across departments. NHS values and patient-centred care are at the heart of this role.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
• Care Certificate
• GCSE English and Maths A-C/4-9 (or equivalent)
• Evidence of safeguarding training
• Evidence of CPD

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and equipment for procedures; assist clinicians and chaperone during intimate examinations.
• Undertake observations, venepuncture, cannulation, ECGs and other delegated tasks; report concerns promptly.
• Maintain accurate patient records; safely handle specimens; keep clinical areas clean, organised and stocked.
