Job summary

Bannatyne in Chafford Hundred is seeking a diligent Membercare Assistant to uphold exceptional cleanliness and hygiene across the club, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for members and staff.

Your duties include thorough cleaning of changing rooms, showers, toilets, and poolside facilities, plus regular sanitising of gym equipment, floors and surfaces. You will follow safety guidelines, report hazards, and provide friendly, customer-focused service to members.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in domestic/cleaning roles.
• Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks.
• Good time management and organisational skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Have strong interpersonal and communications skills and a customer focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of all areas, including changing rooms, showers, toilets and all poolside facilities.
• Ensure that all gym equipment, floors and surfaces are cleaned and sanitised regularly.
• Empty trash bins and ensure waste is disposed of properly, maintain outdoor spaces.
• Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for members and staff.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment according to safety guidelines and procedures.
• Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Provide friendly, approachable service to members and respond to cleaning-related inquiries.
