Job summary

PureGym is seeking a Property Development Manager to drive end-to-end gym development projects. You will lead a cross-functional team, coordinate with landlords, architects and contractors, and ensure timely openings within budget.

You will oversee feasibility, technical evaluations, governance on capex, and site handovers while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety across sites.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering multi-site property developments.
• Strong leadership of multi-disciplinary teams.
• Ability to prioritise and meet milestones under pressure.
• Experience with large-scale leisure, hospitality, or retail.
• Experience managing third-party contractors and advisers.
• Experience negotiating handover specifications with landlords.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Potential to contribute to best-practice in development processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-disciplinary team to deliver gym development projects on time and budget.
• Assess high-level feasibility of potential new sites prior to acquisition.
• Provide technical evaluation of each site and development requirements.
• Ensure budgets and capex investments are approved and tracked.
• Oversee delivery from acquisition through to opening with handover.
• Manage 3rd parties and dependencies involved in the development project.
• Ensure adherence to design standards and lean thinking across projects.
• Coordinate approvals with landlords and local authorities.
• Input into continuous improvement of gym formats and design standards.
• Ensure health and safety requirements throughout the development process.
