Job summary

JD GROUP is seeking a hands-on Gym Manager in Glasgow to lead a team of Fitness Coaches and General Assistants, maintain high facility standards and drive membership growth. You will work closely with the General Manager to uphold brand standards and deliver outstanding member service.

The role requires proven management experience in leisure, a Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification, and a track record in sales.

Qualifications

• Proven management experience within a leisure-related industry.
• Passionate about customer service and inspirational leadership.
• Qualified to at least Level 2 Gym Instructor.
• Track record in driving sales and coordinating local marketing.
• Experience as Assistant Manager or Fitness Manager is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Health and Safety policy and company procedures.
• Maintain JD Gyms Brand Standard.
• Conduct safety checks and report defects.
• Recruit and manage Fitness Coaches and General Assistants.
• Hold regular team meetings to aid development and keep everyone updated.
• Aim to achieve all sales and membership targets.
• Drive and maximise secondary spending revenue.
• Ensure high cleanliness standards across facilities.
• Oversee weekly banking to minimise wastage and maximise profit.
• Ensure uniform standards across team.
• Deliver outstanding member service.
• Create an environment where the team enjoys themselves at work.
• Be an ambassador of JD Gyms.
