AAH is seeking a Generics Buyer to implement sourcing activities across a defined portfolio of suppliers, ensuring cost, availability and inventory KPIs are met. You will manage day-to-day supplier relationships, negotiate terms and drive value across UK operations.

You will work cross-functionally with the UK Commercial Team, optimise working capital, and lead continuous process improvements while monitoring market dynamics to keep our UK business competitive.

Qualifications

• Commercially aware with buying experience.
• Strong Excel skills and data analytics experience.
• Excellent communication and negotiation in supplier relations.
• Experience in retail pharmacy or pharmaceutical wholesale is preferred.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with UK teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day supplier relationships and term negotiations for generic products.
• Improve working capital and service levels through supplier management.

About The Role

UK Generics Sourcing is a key strategic value driver for AAH. The Generics Buyer will be accountable for implementing Sourcing activities across a defined portfolio of suppliers ensuring that cost, availability and inventory management KPIs are achieved. Maintaining and developing effective relationships with Suppliers, including supporting joint business plans, is integral to this role.

Accountabilities

• Working as part of the UK Generics Sourcing team and closely with the UK Commercial Team, the GenericsBuyer will work to proactively expand and grow the Supplier baskets.
• The Generics Buyer will be responsible for day-to-day supplier relationship management and terms negotiations for Generic products; whilst optimising net working capital and service levels.
• Working cross functionally with all key stakeholders within AAH to ensure all financial targets are met. The role will focus primarily on supporting our UK businesses and Commercial teams.
• They will independently drive continuous process improvement with respect to how we manage the portfolio and suppliers.
• They will have a keen focus on market dynamics and how our business will be impacted by changes in the industry and will be able to effectively communicate messages across a diverse group of senior stakeholders.
• Deliver UK Sourcing cost reduction and availability improvements through effective negotiation, contract design and oversight, relationship management and operations optimization
• Continuously review product commercials to ensure they remain market competitive and manage supplier renegotiation
• Achieve and exceed financial targets set Accurate volume planning and forecasting to meet sales requirements across all UK customer channels Screen and study the interest of new product projects/opportunities
