Job summary

GMK Ltd in Fareham is seeking a skilled gunsmith to join our busy Workshop, repairing and servicing all types of shotguns and rifles.

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, the successful candidate will work on modern day shotguns and rifles, develop woodwork and metalwork skills, and benefit from comprehensive in-house and factory training with a strong emphasis on customer service.

This fully on-site role offers a competitive salary and the chance to join a respected firearms distribution team.

Qualifications

• Experience in repairing firearms.
• Woodwork and metalwork skills desired.
• Problem solving and IT skills.
• Strong customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Repair and service shotguns and rifles as part of our Workshop team.
• Develop gun stock and gunsmithing skills with training provided.
• Participate in in-house and factory training; perform woodwork as needed.

About the role

• An exciting opportunity has arisen within our busy Workshop facility to work as part of a small teamrepairing and servicing all types of shotguns and rifles.
• Reporting to the Workshop Manager, candidates will ideally have some experience of repairing firearms.The successful candidate will also have the ability to work on modern day over and under shotguns, sideby side shotguns, semi-automatic shotguns, centre fire and rim fire rifles. We would also be interestedin hearing from anyone who believes they have the woodwork and metalwork skills to develop into aspecialist gun stocker.
• Comprehensive in-house and factory training will be provided and all aspects of general gunsmithingwork will be involved, including woodwork. Candidates must also demonstrate problem solving and ITskills, and have a good telephone manner to be able to provide a high level of customer service.
