Job summary

Autograph Collection is seeking a Room Preventive Maintenance (RPM) Engineer in London to maintain hotel guest rooms, ensure safety and meet brand standards. You will work with Housekeeping, Front Office and Engineering to minimize downtime and extend asset life.

Responsibilities include conducting preventive inspections, completing maintenance tasks, and supporting renovations and emergency responses as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance inspections in guest rooms and suites.
• Conduct comprehensive room checks covering electrical, plumbing, HVAC, furniture, fixtures, finishes and equipment.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks in accordance with hotel engineering standards and maintenance schedules.
• Ensure guest rooms are returned to service promptly and meet established quality standards.
• Inspect lighting and electrical fittings, power outlets and switches, plumbing fixtures, HVAC controls, doors and hardware.
• Inspect furniture, wall finishes, curtains and soft furnishings; perform minor carpentry and painting as needed.
• Follow up on outstanding maintenance items until completed.
• Help prolong asset life by monitoring room fixtures and equipment and recommending replacements when necessary.
• Ensure work complies with health and safety regulations and uses safe practices with tools and chemicals.
• Update maintenance records and track preventive maintenance completion targets.
• Support reactive maintenance during peak periods and assist with refurbishment projects.
• Participate in emergency response procedures when required.
