Qualifications

• Experience in hotel reception or similar customer-facing role.
• Excellent communication and customer care skills, including a professional telephone manner.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and standard email/internet systems.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good organisational skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build positive relationships.
• Tact, diplomacy and discretion for confidential matters.
• Flexible to work a variety of shift patterns.
• Ability to stay calm and respond effectively during emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional reception service to guests, patients, visitors and staff.
• Welcome visitors and direct them to departments and facilities.
• Manage guest enquiries and advise on hotel services and local facilities.
• Operate the hotel switchboard and handle calls efficiently.
• Process reservations, arrivals and departures.
• Support conference, housekeeping, food and beverage and other hotel services.
• Maintain accurate financial, billing and cash handling processes.
• Ensure health, safety and security procedures are followed.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the Conference Hotel and National Hospital.
