Job summary

lyf George Square Glasgow is seeking a Guest Service Assistant to welcome guests, take orders and deliver memorable hospitality within a busy food and beverage setting.

You will collaborate with bar, restaurant and kitchen teams to ensure smooth service, maintain cleanliness and uphold safety and presentation standards while bringing energy and warmth to every guest interaction.

• Take food and drink orders accurately and serve them with care, confidence and a little personality
• Be ready with menu recommendations, answers to questions and suggestions to make each visit extra special
• Handle guest feedback and requests positively, making sure everyone leaves feeling looked after

The Food & Beverage Rockstar

• Help prepare and serve food and beverages to our hotel standards
• Get involved in bar, restaurant, breakfast and social dining operations as needed
• Make sure tables, counters and service areas are clean, tidy and ready for action
• Keep an eye on presentation, quality and the little details that make a big difference
• Support stock checks, replenishment and the smooth running of daily service

The Service-Speed Superstar

• Keep the energy when the restaurant gets busy and the orders start rolling in
• Work seamlessly with the kitchen, bar and wider hotel team to keep service flowing
• Stay organised, think on your feet and tackle unexpected challenges with a can-do attitude
• Follow food safety, hygiene, allergen awareness and responsible alcohol service procedures

• Help create a welcoming, relaced and sociable atmosphere for guests
• Bring your personality to the floor and make genuine connections with people from all walks of life
