Job summary

Village Hotels Portsmouth is looking for a proactive Host Manager to lead the lobby and host team, blending technology with personal service. You’ll drive a warm welcome, resolve issues on the spot, and ensure check-out leaves guests eager to return.

You will manage upselling, wage costs, and daily targets, while coaching the team and maintaining a high standard of guest interaction in a busy hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a front-of-house team.
• Strong guest service and communication skills.
• Ability to upsell and meet target metrics.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Frontline Experience with a warm, vibrant welcome and read guest needs.
• Resolve complaints politely on the spot to turn guests into advocates.
• Drive commercial results by upselling, managing wage costs, and monitoring ADR & 100% Club Fill targets.
• Coach and develop the Host Team, set clear targets and motivate the team.
