Job summary

Bembridge Sailing Club is seeking a Hospitality Supervisor to lead the bar, catering and hospitality operations during the sailing season. You will supervise the hospitality team, ensure friendly, professional service and contribute to smooth event delivery.

The role requires strong customer service, organisational skills and the ability to manage busy periods, evenings and weekends. You will collaborate with staff and clubs to run functions and regattas while upholding high standards of

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, ideally in a supervisory or senior position.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Organised, reliable and able to stay calm during busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the hospitality team during Club opening hours, events and busy sailing periods.
• Ensure excellent customer service and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere for members, guests and visitors.
• Assist with the smooth running of the bar and catering operation, including opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and food and beverage service.
• Ensure licensing, food safety, health and safety and Club procedures are followed.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering, deliveries and stock rotation.
• Handle cashing-up and daily financial procedures accurately.
• Deal confidently and professionally with customer queries or issues.
• Support the planning and delivery of Club functions, regattas, social events and private functions.
• Carry out other reasonable duties required to support the successful operation of the Club.
