Job summary

Whitbread is seeking a Ground Floor Team Member in Glasgow City Centre (Buchanan Galleries) for a permanent 25-hour-per-week role, paying up to £13.06 per hour. You’ll welcome guests, help with check-in, serve meals and support the hotel team to ensure a smooth stay.

Shifts include evenings and weekends. No hotel experience is required, and training is provided. Whitbread Benefits and pension schemes are part of the package.

Qualifications

• No hotel experience required; friendly and helpful attitude is valued.
• Ability to stay calm and professional during busy periods.
• Willingness to learn and support guests throughout their stay.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and help them check in.
• Serve breakfast or evening meals, including bar service.
• Answer questions and help solve problems.
• Keep reception, restaurant and public areas looking their best.
• Support teammates across the hotel when busy.
• Ensure every guest feels looked after from arrival to departure.
