Job summary

NHS Golden Jubilee University National Hospital is seeking a Hotel Front Office Host to join the busy reception team. You will welcome guests, patients and staff, manage enquiries and operate the hotel switchboard, reservations and check-ins.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hotel reception or similar customer service role.
• Excellent communication and customer care skills, including telephone etiquette.
• Strong IT skills, including MS Office and email systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good organisational skills with accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Providing a professional and comprehensive reception service to guests, patients, visitors and staff.
• Welcoming visitors and directing them to the appropriate departments and facilities.
• Managing guest enquiries and providing advice on hotel services and local facilities.
• Operating the hotel switchboard and handling calls efficiently.
• Processing reservations, guest arrivals and departures.
• Supporting conference, housekeeping, food and beverage and other hotel services as required.
• Maintaining accurate financial, billing and cash handling processes.
• Ensuring health, safety and security procedures are followed at all times.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across the Conference Hotel and National Hospital.
