Job summary

Mary Rush Care Ltd on 21 Gargrave Road, Skipton, BD23 1UD, United Kingdom, is seeking a Front of House Assistant to ensure guests enjoy a warm welcome and excellent service. You will support the front of house in both the Restaurant and Mezz, handling orders, serving drinks, and processing payments with a friendly, professional approach.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, upselling extras, maintaining cleanliness, assisting with openings/closures, and contributing to a positive customer

Responsibilities

• Greeting and welcoming guests in a warm and professional manner
• Taking customer orders accurately and efficiently using the till system and offering information about menu items when required
• Serve food and drinks with a friendly and helpful attitude
• Suggest extras like sides, desserts, or another round of drinks to give customers the best experience and boost sales
• Check in with customers during their meal to make sure they’re happy and have everything they need
• Preparing and serving drinks, including a variety of hot and cold beverages
• Processing payments using the till system, handling both cash and card transactions
• Guiding and assisting visitors in the restaurant and across the premises when necessary
• Clearing tables promptly and ensuring the restaurant remains clean and tidy
• Washing cutlery, crockery, and pots, and maintaining cleanliness in food service areas
• Maintaining a clean and welcoming front of house environment throughout the day
• Providing support in other areas of the business, as required by the management team
• Assisting with the opening and closing of the Restaurant
• Ensuring date and quality checks when required for cakes and other food items in the Restaurant
• Housekeeping- making sure workstations and back of house areas are cleaned throughout the day
• Dealing with customer complaints in a professional manner, directing to a manager if needed
• Carrying out any reasonable request from the General Manager
• Prepared to work in all departments
