Job summary

Mary Rush Care Ltd in Bradford is seeking a Cafe and Takeaway Assistant to warmly welcome guests and provide excellent service. You will support front of house operations and help ensure smooth daily running.

Responsibilities include taking orders, serving food and drinks, handling payments, keeping areas clean, and addressing customer questions. Previous experience in food/serving environment is desirable. On-site role with pension and parking benefits may be available.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food/serving environment is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and welcoming guests in a warm and professional manner.
• Taking customer orders accurately and efficiently and offering information about menu items when required.
• Serve food and drinks with a friendly and helpful attitude.
• Check in with customers during their meal to make sure they're happy and have everything they need.
• Preparing and serving drinks, including a variety of hot and cold beverages.
• Processing payments using the till system, handling both cash and card transactions.
• Clearing tables promptly and ensuring the restaurant remains clean and tidy.
• Washing cutlery, crockery, and pots, and maintaining cleanliness in food service areas.
• Maintaining a clean and welcoming front of house environment throughout the day.
• Housekeeping- making sure workstations and back of house areas are cleaned throughout the day.
• Dealing with customer complaints in a professional manner, directing to a manager if needed.
