Guest Service Agent Job Description

Be the warm welcome that kicks off a memorable guest experience.

Multi-Faceted Duties - Trained to carry out multiple roles within the hotel such as Front Desk, Club InterContinental, and Concierge.

Front Desk Tasks - Ensure a smooth check-in and check-out process by handling passports, IDs, room keys, safety deposit boxes, cash and credit transactions, guest bookings, upselling, and managing guest requests including room changes and pre-payments.

Club InterContinental - Assist in delivering the Club InterContinental stay and dining experience under the guidance of the Club InterContinental Manager and Guest Experience Executives. Collaborate with the Culinary team to ensure brand standards are met.

Uniformed Services - Work with the Uniformed Services Team to provide prompt, professional, and personalized service, offering local information and recommendations to guests.

Elevating Guest Experience - Acknowledge loyalty program members, personalize guest interactions, proactively address needs, and handle requests to enhance guest satisfaction.

Driving Results - Support departmental targets for upselling and loyalty enrollment, delivering genuine hospitality.

Safety and Security - Uphold safety and security protocols for guests and colleagues in line with hotel policies.

What We Need From You

• Excellent communication skills to address guest concerns and compliments.
• Problem-solving skills to turn issues into opportunities for memorable experiences.
• Fluency in the local language; additional languages are a plus.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, basic math, and computer skills.
• Flexibility to work night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
• Higher education qualification such as a tertiary diploma; a college or university degree is a bonus but not essential.
• Experience in Front Desk or Guest Services roles is advantageous.
• Physical strength to lift, push, and pull objects up to 50 lbs (23 kg), including bending and kneeling.
