The Spectator seeks a growth marketer who combines sharp editorial instinct with data-driven marketing to enhance subscription growth. The role focuses on crafting tactical campaigns, understanding current affairs, and enhancing user engagement, contributing significantly to the publication's digital growth strategy.
This job is brought to you by Jobs/Redefined, the UK's leading over-50s age inclusive jobs board.
The Spectator is looking for a growth marketer who can spot the line, the angle, or the moment that will persuade a reader to subscribe - and move fast to capitalise on it. You'll combine sharp editorial instinct with smart, data-driven marketing to turn The Spectator's journalism into subscription growth. This role demands both a feel for politics and current affairs, and the creativity to package and promote our content in ways that drive real commercial impact.
You'll be watching our output and the wider news agenda constantly, spotting which articles, arguments or trends can be amplified to bring in new readers and convert them into paying subscribers. With access to a strong in-house team, a designer, a marketing executive and a paid media agency, you will conceive, brief, execute, and report on rapid tactical campaigns - running alongside our core acquisition efforts to deliver meaningful, visible growth.
This is a rare opportunity to make a major impact: adding new layers of creativity and pace to an already highly successful subscription business, and helping drive The Spectator's digital growth through sharp judgement, creative flair, and a deep feel for what resonates with our audience.
