Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree level or other equivalent qualification preferred.
• Demonstrable experience in insurance, underwriting support, claims, or a related analytical role.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with ability to interpret complex data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to articulate technical information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior underwriters in the analysis and assessment of professional liability risks.
• Gather and review applications, financial statements, loss runs, and other supporting documentation.
• Conduct research on industries, professions, and legal environments to inform underwriting decisions.
• Prepare underwriting submissions and proposals, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with brokers and agents to obtain necessary information and communicate underwriting decisions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in underwriting systems and databases.
• Support the renewal process by assisting with account review and analysis.
• Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
• Adhere to company underwriting guidelines, policies, and procedures.
