Job summary

Kier Group in the UK is seeking an Operations Director for our Workplace Solutions team. Hybrid working across office locations; 40 hours a week.

You will provide strategic leadership over operations, drive growth, and build lasting client relationships to deliver value for communities. The role requires significant leadership in facilities management or complex operations, strong communication, and proven P&L responsibility.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience within facilities management or a complex operational environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to influence at all levels.
• Experience managing portfolio-level financial performance including P&L responsibility.
• Commercially astute with ability to identify growth opportunities.
• Collaborative leader with strong team accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational business and develop strategies for growth and customer retention.
• Maintain accountability for performance across the portfolio against KPIs and contractual obligations.
• Develop strategic customer relationships to drive contract performance and satisfaction.
• Provide visible, values-led leadership promoting accountability and high performance.
• Oversee operational, financial, compliance and health and safety performance.
