Job summary

FD Recruit is helping an investor-backed, founder-led services business to find a Chief Financial Officer for its Northamptonshire operation. The role is on-site, reporting to the board, and responsible for the financial strategy and numbers behind it.

Key duties include budgeting, forecasting and modelling, presenting board packs, and leading a finance transformation while strengthening internal controls and reporting quality.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Experience transforming a finance function.
• International experience with hands-on exposure to multi-currency and FX risk.
• M&A experience, ideally raising funds, acquisitions or due diligence in a corporate or PE-backed setting.
• Experience in a business of similar size and scale.
• Working knowledge of Sage and comfortable with ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Own budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling and present monthly board packs with clear insight on performance.
• Lead the transformation of finance processes and systems, improving MI and core reporting.
• Oversee audit, compliance and financial risk management.
