Job summary

South Hampshire College Group (SHCG) is seeking an ambitious Curriculum Director to provide strategic and operational leadership across a portfolio of curriculum areas at Southampton College. You will drive curriculum excellence, learner outcomes and employer engagement while balancing quality, growth and financial sustainability.

Working with the Vice Principal and senior leadership team, you will lead Curriculum Area Managers, develop annual plans and ensure compliance with regulatory

Qualifications

• Significant leadership and management experience in further or higher education.
• Proven track record of improving learner outcomes and quality standards.
• Experience managing budgets, resources and income targets.
• Strong understanding of curriculum planning, funding methodologies and QA processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Passion for transforming lives through education.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Curriculum Area Managers and wider curriculum teams.
• Oversee curriculum planning, timetabling, staffing and resource allocation.
• Deliver income targets across AEB, HE, Adult Learning and other provision.
• Drive quality improvement, self-assessment and learning walks.
• Develop strategic plans and employer partnerships to meet labour market needs.
• Champion a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
