IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING; |
- Overall day-to-day responsibility for Groups & Events reactive team enquiry handling & conversion, from processes through to results.
- Managing a small team of direct reports while working closely with our on-property Groups and Events teams, with responsibility for group conversion across the portfolio.
- Lead by example handling your own VIP & higher value enquiries, supporting the team through absence and busy periods, taking on the role of player: coach as required.
- Implement new processes & procedures while strongly communicating and delivering training & support on SOPs & training modules for all stages of our group enquiry & conversion journey.
- Support the Global Head of Groups & Events with reporting and insights into booking trends & feedback, identifying opportunities to drive higher conversion & revenue, improve efficiency and optimise ways of working
- Prioritise a guest-first approach & work to truly understand client needs in order to maximise conversion, while creating & taking opportunities to identify leads and opportunities for the wider sales team
- Ensure a top-class handover process from the enquiry to planning teams is in place, creating and ensuring the planning team have all the tools and information to give a seamless client journey.
- Show your keen eye for detail to use, update & train the team on our booking systems, keeping an up-to-date database, troubleshooting and recommending best practises and improvements
- Develop great product knowledge and proactively share this with the team through training, SOPs & day to day support – become a ‘go to’ person who either knows the answer or where to find it
- Create strong relationships and build meaningful connections to work with key stakeholders in Sales, Revenue and Operations on day to day business as usual, as well as projects and initiatives & identify opportunities for success.
