Position: Events and Groups Planning Manager
We are currently recruiting for an Events and Groups Planning Manager to join the Groups and Events team at The Londoner Hotel.
Overview
- This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join our team.
- As a Groups and Events Planning Manager, you will lead the event planning efforts within a dynamic groups & events team at our flagship hotel in London.
- You will be required to adhere to the highest standards of customer care, plan and deliver outstanding events, and ensure smooth communication with clients and internal teams. You may also need to use relevant software and online planning tools. Understanding customer requirements and maximizing revenue potential for each event is essential.
- Your success will depend on your ability to multitask, handle multiple parties simultaneously, perform under pressure, and remain calm. You must meet and exceed client requirements before, during, and after events, with timely follow-up.
- Effective dealings with suppliers and contractors, along with excellent interpersonal skills, are crucial as the role involves working with people constantly.
About You
- Experience in event planning within a 4 or 5-star hotel or events venue.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Ability to provide efficient, reliable customer service and promote relevant Edwardian Hotels London services.
- Skill in generating new revenue opportunities, including repeat business and upselling services such as F&B and accommodation.
- Technical knowledge of hotel booking systems like Opera and Delphi.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Deep understanding of the corporate and social events market, including dietary and nutritional requirements, food & beverage offerings, event setup options, and room management.
- The role may require working outside normal hours depending on event needs.
- A positive, reliable, self-motivated, and organized professional with a passion for hospitality, food, events, travel, and people. Career-driven with a genuine interest in the industry.
