Job summary

MET Recruitment UK Ltd is recruiting a hands-on Group Test Engineer for a well-established manufacturing business in Kingswinford, West Midlands. You will plan and carry out product testing, analyse results and produce technical reports to drive improvements, collaborating with Design, Technical and Quality teams.

The role is full-time, permanent and on-site, with circa £40,000 salary and flexibility for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and carrying out product testing
• Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret results
• Strong technical report writing and documentation skills
• Experience working to ISO/BS EN or other engineering standards advantageous

Responsibilities

• Plan and carry out product testing, validation and verification activities
• Develop practical test plans based on requirements and standards
• Prepare and manage prototypes, test samples and returns
• Investigate product failures and quality concerns
• Analyse test data and produce clear technical reports and recommendations
• Work with Design, Technical and Quality teams throughout development
• Maintain testing equipment and ensure safe working practices
• Support product development and continuous improvement
