Support Volunteer for Alzheimer's Society Café Memoir

About The Role

If you love meeting new people and want to support those affected by dementia in your area, this volunteer role could be perfect for you!

As a Group Support Volunteer, you will support and encourage individuals affected by dementia to participate in activities and socialise within a group setting. You will be a friendly face at the group, welcoming attendees, engaging in conversation to help them feel comfortable, and ensuring they are offered refreshments. Additionally, you will assist with setting up and tidying away at the end of each session.

Your involvement will help individuals affected by dementia to meet others in similar situations, access support and information, and enjoy meaningful activities.

Details of the Role

• Held at Whessoe Parish Hall DL1 3AA
• Second Monday of the month, 1:15 PM to 3:15 PM
• Responsibilities include welcoming and chatting with attendees, serving refreshments, and engaging in arts & crafts, board games, music, and singing activities.
